From the brilliant colors of building murals and bicycles to rich hues of natural ice sculptures rising from the water and displayed on black beaches to tapestries of wild flowers reaching for the sun in endless fields, Iceland is a land of rich, colorful and stark contrasts. Through these images you will hopefully experience the magnificent interplaying forces of earth, air, fire and water. You will see up close photographs of blue ice taken at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Blue ice is the densest and oldest ice found on the planet, having taken over a thousand years in its formation and creating the most dazzling and colorful effects.
